Be Mine (or maybe not)

Without you my heart wants a myocardial infraction Without you the medicines seem not to work Without you my brain seems to be overloaded with serotonin Without you I feel lost and lonely Without you I want to lose touch with reality Without you though life is going to be, for although you are closer to me than home and friends, I don't want to trouble you or myself. It's just best this way. And I seem to have retaken my life from the shallows Now isn't that something to be proud of ?

Nightwalker

Hey nightwalker  Why do you scream so? Twiddle your fingers, gurgle, talk to yourself hum tunes and sing high and then sing low act the fool, play the clown and shake your ass like gelatin to make them laugh and do a pirouette for us like a swan that knows ballet ( in your dreams you tool ! ) and knead your emotions like dough  shout in your sleep  There is more chance of you being heard there Maybe they all want to be you  But have a wife who holds them tight at night  And keep them from stooping and bending and bowing low

Hey

Hey, talk to me don't talk at me Hey, dress me up like a clown, give me a dressing down, make me wear a gown,  and  lead me around town but don't ignore me Hey, strut your stuff Or else, I  Might as well drown.

Wet Dream

I was not swimming in an ocean Nor was I waist-deep in a river It was a wet dream  Or was it?

Coelacanth

Coelecanthus ,hollow spine friend of old Great grandfather of mammals without bones How did you survive all these years Seeing time did a number on all your peers Share with me your secrets  So that I too may learn  that to live long and to survive  requires no more than a rudimentary brain And a tube of oil for a spine

To walk and to go slow

Once there was nothingness I traipsed and staggered and shot out like a courser Now, the terrain has luxuriant growth So hold my hand and beat the path  If I fall here, teach me that there is no disgrace Lend to me aid and help me learn, To walk and to go slow  The perils ahead test my composure, still my heart  I beg of you ford the river, I cannot swim  Once in the boat row it and sit me down  And once at the shore, if I am delirious with the nightmares Wipe my cheeks and with gentle chidings wake me up

Every day is a punishment

Learn, my children  to choose your words well Punishment follows those who do not learn to spell They live a life of drudgery and die whilst still unwell Worse awaits those who earn to spell only to write poor letters They die alone
